DirWiz

Privacy

Effective 26 August 2026

DirWiz has no networking code. Nothing it scans, and nothing about you, ever leaves your Mac.

The app

DirWiz runs entirely on your Mac. It contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no update checks and no accounts. There is no code in the app that talks to the internet at all, so there is nothing it could send even by accident.

Scan results, snapshots and settings are stored locally on your Mac and stay there. Reading your disk requires the Full Disk Access permission, which you grant in System Settings and can revoke there at any time.

DirWiz asks for no personal information, before, during or after you use it.

This website

dirwiz.app is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Like any website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data such as your IP address to serve pages and downloads and to protect the site. I do not collect or keep anything beyond that.

Email

If you write to me, I receive your email address and whatever you send, and I use it only to reply. It is never shared or added to any list.

Changes

If any of this ever changes, this page changes first, with a new date at the top.
